Comix , Doodles, 'n stuff ...
Just a 'faze' I was going through at the time. Something along the lines of reinventing myself as a cartoonist... and as anyone in the field would tell ya, there is no species alive, man or beast, lower than the lowly cartoonist! Anyway, here's a few samples from my short-lived self loathing period. Enjoy!
One of my passions that I seldom have time for anymore is making maps. When I did have time (a million years ago) I'd work for hours, sometimes days on topographical creations of worlds yet known. I did possess a pretty active imagination as well as the patience, and good eyesight required for such inane (insane) tasks. I don't know what happened to the original drafts. Maybe someday I'll stumble upon them. Anyway, I did find this little 'tour map' from a few years back. This was made for a friend to help her find her way from the foothills above Sacramento to my house (at the time) in San Francisco. If I remember correctly she actually found it useful. I omitted many details to protect the privacy of the current residents.
One thing about the receptionist jobs I used to do was having all the time in the world to sit around and doodle. Like the maps most of them are lost now. I did however find these two. In observing these samples it's obviously that I needed to get back to the music work!
