The Michael Cotenas Band, 1976: still rated #1 LOUDEST un-signed band in the world. We often got fired from gigs for being too loud, on one occasion before we even played a note! On a positive note; we were popular with deaf people.

Montage, 1977 (later known as Avatar): these guys were (are) fantastic singers.

EZ Money, 1981 (a later offshoot of the legendary Foresthillbillies): the look is inspired by a 3 week engagement at the Fallon Nugget in (where else?) Fallon, NV ,

Harry Harpoon & the House Wreckers, 1983; one of the highlights of my short stint with the HW's was to be the first ever Blues Act to play the T&A Bar, Susanville, CA . The Blues before the Blues was popular.

Vision, early 1984 version: quite possibly one of the best Reggae bands you've never heard. Unity Rockers!

The original Venusions, 1988: some bands have 'staying power' ...

Beverly Watson & the Olde West Band, 1989 : other bands stay around for a matter of minutes.

Quadrabop, 1990: named after a popular audio device... "Reap this Righteous Riff"
