Band Shots 1976 to 1990

Michael Cotenas Blue Band 1976 ..Yeah, we're from space..

The Michael Cotenas Band, 1976: still rated #1 LOUDEST un-signed band in the world. We often got fired from gigs for being too loud, on one occasion before we even played a note! On a positive note; we were popular with deaf people.

Montage (which became "Avatar") 1977

Montage, 1977 (later known as Avatar): these guys were (are) fantastic singers.

EZ Money (Formerly the "Foresthill Billies") Have a good time with your friends 1981

EZ Money, 1981 (a later offshoot of the legendary Foresthillbillies): the look is inspired by a 3 week engagement at the Fallon Nugget in (where else?) Fallon, NV ,

Harry Harpoon & the Housewreckers, version 4 (i think) 1982

Harry Harpoon & the House Wreckers, 1983; one of the highlights of my short stint with the HW's was to be the first ever Blues Act to play the T&A Bar, Susanville, CA . The Blues before the Blues was popular.

Vision - Strong Reggae groove and message (later became DV8 ) 1984

Vision, early 1984 version: quite possibly one of the best Reggae bands you've never heard. Unity Rockers!

Venusions (2nd version) this band is actually still together 1988

The original Venusions, 1988: some bands have 'staying power' ...

Beverly Watson and the Olde West Band, 1989

Beverly Watson & the Olde West Band, 1989 : other bands stay around for a matter of minutes.

Exit, stage left !

Jazz band QuadraBop, it's name inspired by an audio reverb componate, 1990

Quadrabop, 1990: named after a popular audio device... "Reap this Righteous Riff"

At the time of this posting I wasn't able to locate more band shots from my archives. I know there's a bunch floating around somewhere. If anyone out there has any related promo shots for posting, please contact me at martzmusic@yahoo.com

Thanks!
