Noteworthy Performers

As of the spring of 2006 Martin's worked with hundreds of acts, large and small. His own band, The Fabulous Auditions has been together since 2002 and actually performs once in a blue moon. A 'road dog' at heart, Martin's performed all over the US and Canada as well as overseas, most notably in Holland, Germany, and Thailand.   Since 1998 he has been a member of the JGB (Jerry Garcia) Band, featuring Melvin Seals. Also the bassist for Sacramento's Mind X, well known for it's eclectic blend of Bluegrass, Techno Funk, Latin, and pure chaos.   Other acts include the Mississippi Blues featuring Zakiya Hooker and Chris James; Brazilian music with brother Steve Holland; Flamenco and Latin with Ivan Najera; Jazz and R&B with Lloyd Gregory; Americana and Rock with Buddy Craig; Folk Rock and Latin styles with Bodhi Busick; Fusion Jazz and Rock with Jerry Jennings; Folk and Jazz Duets with Peter Wilson; and Jam Style-GD music with the DeadBeats.

Producer and co-writer with Cherokee Folk singer, activist and historian, Patti Jo King, The Ponies, 1991.    The albums hallmark song, Leonard, was written for imprisoned AIM activist, Leonard Peltier, and received worldwide airplay for 3 consecutive years.

Co-owner and operator of Copious Patch Records with associate Peter Philis.   Current projects include a new Mind X recording; and a new release for guitarist-singer Steve Holland.  I am also mastering my first solo CD, Where I'm From, tentatively scheduled for a July 1st release. Two other records set to be released in the next year (or so) are The Un-Promised Land, plus a compilation of earlier recordings, Mostly from the Eighties .
