As of the fall of 2009 Martin's worked with hundreds of acts, large and small. His own band, The Fabulous Auditions has been a concept since 2002 and actually performs once in a blue moon (when he runs short of names to call the band) .

Currently seen and heard with Jonny 'Mojo' Flores and Tess Honn, as well as GD cover band DeadAhead. Martin is also a member of Mitch Stein's AllStars, and is a member of MOCO (the Musician Owner Co-Op).

A 'road dog' at heart, Martin's performed all over the US and Canada as well as overseas, most notably in Holland, Germany, and Thailand.   A member of the JGB (Jerry Garcia Band) & Melting Pot , featuring Melvin Seals from 1998 to 2007. Also the bassist and producer for Sacramento's Mind X, well known for it's eclectic blend of Bluegrass, Techno Funk, Latin, 'blue' comedic muse and utter chaos. Their 2009 release "Joneser & Tweakers" stands as an example of Martin's 'compartmentized' production style. We're pretty certain it will be nominated for something, eventually. Stay tuned!

Other acts Martin's been associated with include the Mississippi Blues featuring Zakiya Hooker and Chris James; Brazilian music with brother Steve Holland (Brazilianaires AKA the Fabulous Hasbeens) and guitarist/singer Felipe Ferrez, ; Flamenco and Latin with Ivan Najera; Jazz and R&B with Lloyd Gregory; Americana and Rock with the late great Buddy Craig; Folk Rock and Latin styles with Bodhi Busick; Fusion Jazz and Rock with Jerry Jennings; Folk and Jazz Duets with Peter Wilson; Every so often Martin appears with the DeadBeats. and Stu Allen.
